Girvan tourist information point & Craft shop
Open from Friday 3rd April - End of September 2026
12 noon - 4pm
7 days per week
You'll find the Tourist Information Point & Craft Shop (TIP), across the street from the busy Girvan Harbour in the Old Court Room of the Town House, 25 Knockcushan Street, Girvan KA26 9AE.
TIP is run by a dedicated and welcoming team of local volunteers, ambassadors for Girvan and South Carrick, who use their local knowledge, digital skills and community links to promote everything our area has to offer. They are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the area's history, genealogy, walking trails, local events and quirky facts about our town and the surrounding area!
If you need on the ground information, whether it be where to eat, where to stay, how to book activities, shopping and much more, you’ll find it at the wonderful and friendly community-led Girvan Tourist Information and Craft Shop.
A large range of leaflets, maps and brochures are available along with free WiFi. While you’re there, browse through their shop that sells locally made arts and crafts, find a gift for someone special or a memento for yourself from Girvan. Take a moment to watch the captivating footage of the Whithorn Way Pilgrimage route and be inspired by photos of our beautiful scenery before heading out to explore everything Girvan & South Carrick has to offer.
